National Wildlife Refuge SystemThe National Wildlife Refuge System, was established in 1903 by President
Theodore Roosevelt. Roosvelelt intended to use national lands and water to peserve and, if necessary, restore the existence of wildlife, both plants and animals. Roosevelt himself went on to establish a total of 5 parks. These parks include Crater Lake,Wind Cave, Sullys Hills, Platt, and Mesa Verde. |
